The Role
The Regional Manager, Hotel Construction is responsible for a regional portfolio of executed franchise agreements for hotels that have not yet opened. The ideal candidate will use a combination of technical knowledge related to real estate development and/or construction as well as interpersonal skills to foster strong relationships with franchisees and their support teams to ensure timely ground breaks and openings as well as to maintain brand standards. The role includes intense collaboration with franchisees, internal team members, and outside service providers. Maintaining accurate and timely reporting including projections and reaching portfolio-specific goals play critical roles. Taking ownership of the assigned portfolio is a prerequisite for success in this role.
What you'll do
Opening And Ground Break Executions
- Lead and manage efforts required to ensure timely and efficient Ground Breaks and Openings for a large regional portfolio of sites by actively engaging with owners and their support teams (engineers, architects, contractors, and suppliers) to foster advancement of pre-development and construction timelines.
- Facilitate advancement of non-construction items such as financing and property management through internal and external sources.
- Work closely with Manager and other WYNDHAM personnel to overcome franchisee objections and/or project delays.
- Build relationships with other Wyndham Hotels and Resorts departments including Development (Sales), Strategic Finance, Operations, etc. to bring all available resources to franchisees.
- Maintain accurate forecasts and record keeping on the assigned regional portfolio with an emphasis on performance goals of the department and the company.
Business Analysis
- Manage operational reporting that will assist Architecture, Design, & Construction personnel in managing day to day business.
- Conduct various analyses based on requests from Architecture, Design, & Construction and needs of other senior WYNDHAM leaders.
- Work on special projects or initiatives assigned by the leadership of Architecture, Design, & Construction.
Performance Ready
- Consult and work with our new owners and properties in maximizing their potential to become successful using tools and resources that are available with brand affiliation and being part of WYNDHAM.
- Working in conjunction with the Openings and Operations teams to make sure we facilitate successful onboarding to enhance revenue potential through global sales, revenue management., e-commerce, punch list completion etc.
