Senior Stress Analysis Engineer

<p><strong>Work Arrangement</strong><br>This is an on-site position.</p> <p><strong>Job Overview</strong><br>We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Structural Engineer specializing in aircraft structures to join our team. As a Structural Engineer, you will play a key role in the design, analysis, and optimization of structural components for our unmanned aerial systems (UAS) and unmanned surface vehicles (USV). You will work closely with our engineering team to develop innovative solutions and enhance the performance and reliability of our products.&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>Essential Functions</strong><br>• &nbsp; &nbsp;Collaborate with cross-functional teams to lead the structural layout, structural sizing into conceptual design and through detail design.<br>• &nbsp; &nbsp;Partner with manufacturing team to generate fabrication and assembly work instructions.<br>• &nbsp; &nbsp;Analyzing structural loads on both composite laminates, metallic structures, and plastic components using empirical methods, hand calculations,&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;finite element analysis (FEA).<br>• &nbsp; &nbsp;Conduct static and dynamic structural analyses using finite element analysis (FEA) tools.<br>• &nbsp; &nbsp;Prepare detailed technical reports, documentation, and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.<br>• &nbsp; &nbsp;Supporting flight test planning, test execution, and aircraft modifications<br>• &nbsp; &nbsp;Identify and implement innovative solutions to complex structural engineering challenges.<br>• &nbsp; &nbsp;Develop, review, and approve structural designs, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.<br>• &nbsp; &nbsp;Develop structural design guides and toolsets that can be used by other engineers.<br>• &nbsp; &nbsp;Perform other duties as assigned.</p> <p><strong>Standard Essential Functions</strong><br>Regular and reliable attendance on a full time basis [or in accordance with posted schedule].<br>Responsible for exhibiting professional behavior with both internal and external business associates that reflects positively on the company and is consistent with the company's policies and practices.<br>Embodies AEVEX’s cultural values and aligns daily actions with department goals and company culture.</p> <p>Qualifications and Competencies<br>• &nbsp; &nbsp;Foundational knowledge of aircraft load paths and structural sizing<br>• &nbsp; &nbsp;Expert understanding of the theory and practical application of composite structures and their application to aircraft<br>• &nbsp; &nbsp;Proficiency in finite element analysis (FEA) toolsets such
