Senior Manager, Finance
Location: Bentonville, AR
We are building a new AI Acceleration, Product & Design organization to transform how Walmart builds horizontal platforms, unlocks productivity, and drives growth through cutting-edge technology. As the Senior Manager, Finance, you will be the strategic finance partner embedded in this transformation.
You will operate at the intersection of finance and product innovation, partnering closely with the AI leadership team, Strategy, and People to quantify impact, prioritize initiatives, and shape Walmart’s next frontier of growth.
The Senior Manager, Finance reports directly to the Senior Director, Finance and is a high-impact, utility player role that blends financial rigor with strong business acumen, analytical depth, and excitement for AI-driven transformation.
What you’ll do:
- Build and operationalize financial support for the AI Acceleration, Product & Design organization from the ground up.
- Lead the creation of AI and horizontal platform business cases; analyze return on investment, cost-benefit tradeoffs, and execution implications.
- Develop a structured approach to prioritize initiatives by opportunity size, maturity, and alignment to enterprise objectives.
- Collaborate with Product and Tech to translate ambiguous ideas into measurable financial outcomes.
- Track output and financial realization from change initiatives across the AI portfolio.
- Support tool development and financial modeling to measure impact across business units.
- Partner with Strategy, Finance, and HR teams to align on productivity definitions, metrics, and tracking processes.
- Act as the connective tissue across multiple verticals to ensure financial alignment, scalable decision-making, and benefit quantification.
What you’ll bring:
- A strategic finance leader with 6+ years of experience in corporate finance or FP&A, ideally within tech, retail, or enterprise transformation contexts.
- Highly analytical, with experience in business case modeling, prioritization frameworks, and cost-benefit analysis.
- Proficient in financial systems and capable of diving deep into detailed reporting while maintaining a strategic lens.
- Excited about Walmart’s AI vision and comfortable operating in ambiguous, fast-evolving environments.
- A utility player—adaptive, collaborative, and eager to build from zero-to-one.
