Senior UX Designer

iFIT’s vision is to create the world's most holistic health and fitness platform, integrating all elements of health - physical fitness, mental health, nutrition and active recovery - into a seamless interactive experience. We develop proprietary software that learns and adjusts to the habits of each person as it delivers immersive content that guides them on their individual fitness journey.

 

We are currently seeking an ambitious pace-setter to join our team as a Senior UX Designer in
Logan or Utah or remotely.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop user personas, user journeys, and information architecture to outline the structure and flow of the product. Design intuitive and functional UX, creating useful, usable, and desirable product experiences
• Work cross-functionally with Brand and Marketing to continuously develop understanding of the end-to-end iFIT customer journey
• Translate wireframes and prototypes into visually appealing interfaces, maintaining consistency in design elements, branding, and aesthetics. Create high-fidelity designs, including icons, typography, color schemes, and layout. Design detailed workflows, wireframes, and prototypes to rapidly assess the viability of ideas and potential directions or solutions.
• Wire-framing and Prototyping: Create wireframes, prototypes, and mockups to visualize and iterate on design concepts. Use tools like Sketch, Figma, Adobe XD, or similar software to demonstrate user flows, interactions, and UI elements.
• Execute both UX and UI, driving projects from start to finis
• Work through problems, translating insights from research and analytics into concepts, interfaces, features, components, products, and solutions that drive the business forward and empower our customers in their own journeys.
• Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with product managers, developers, and other stakeholders to align design solutions with business goals and technical feasibility. Create a solid relationship specifically with development teams to ensure the feasibility and accuracy of design implementation. Provide support and guidance during the development process to maintain design integrity. Communicate design concepts effectively, gather feedback, and iterate designs based on insights.
• Seek out feedback from stakeholders to drive consensus and mine for purpose, working together to derive the optimal outcome, given the constraints and priorities.
• Work closely with developers to ensure the feasibility of concepts and accuracy of execution.
• Communicate ideas, designs, and concepts—as well as their underlying rationale—clearly to team members through artifacts, such as site maps, journey maps, storyboards, prototypes, documentation, and storytelling.
• User Research and Analysis: Work closely with our consumer insights team to conduct thorough user research, including interviews, surveys, and usability testing, to understand user behaviors, needs, and pain points. Analyze data and derive insights to inform design decisions.
• Visual Design Excellence: Create visually stunning and pixel-perfect designs that align with brand guidelines while also exploring innovative design trends. Ensure a harmonious balance of aesthetics, functionality, and usability.
• Graphic Asset Creation: Design and produce graphic elements, icons, and other visual assets that enhance the user interface. Maintain a keen eye for detail in iconography, imagery, and other visual elements.
• Responsive Design Implementation: Develop designs that are responsive and adaptable across various devices and screen sizes. Ensure a seamless and consistent experience, whether on desktop, mobile, or tablet.
• Design Evangelism: Advocate for the importance of design choices and best practices within the broader team. Communicate the rationale behind visual decisions and help others understand the impact on user experience. Design System and Documentation: Establish and maintain design systems, style guides, and documentation to ensure consistency and scalability across different platforms and devices.
