1st Shift  -  Feed Haul Driver

Dept. 6232  Hermitage Feed Haul

Shift Hours:  5:00 am - 5:00 pm

Pay Rate: $ 21.00 per hour

 

 

Must have at least 1-2 years experience.

 

 

Summary   Delivers feed to the broiler and breeder farms by performing the following duties.                                                

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

 

Drives a truck to transport chicken feed from the feed mill to the broiler and breeder farms.

 

Picks up tickets from the dispatcher.

 

Loads the feed into the trailer.

 

Weighs the feed.

 

Operates a hydraulic system to unload the feed into the bins at the farms.

 

Maintains truck log, according to state and federal regulations.

 

Inspects truck equipment and supplies such as tires, lights, brakes, gas, oil and water.

 

Must comply with all DOT and State driver training and documentation requirements.

Education and/or Experience                                                 

 

High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and one year of experience.

 

Language Skills                                             

 

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.  Ability to write simple correspondence.  Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

 

Mathematical Skills                                                   

 

Ability to calculate hours of service, complete log book pages and calculate report hours worked.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
