Join Oshkosh Aerotech as a Maintenance Repair Technician Level II, responsible for troubleshooting, repairs, and preventive maintenance on airport operations area's systems and controls. You'll manage reactive, preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance tasks, swiftly respond to maintenance requests, and ensure detailed documentation within the CMMS. YOUR IMPACT   

These duties are not meant to be all-inclusive, and other duties may be assigned.  

  • Perform advanced troubleshooting, repairs, and preventive maintenance on facility systems and controls. 

  • Accurately document maintenance activities, repairs, parts usage, and equipment conditions in the CMMS. 

  • Execute reactive, preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance, including emergency response. 

  • Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and control system failures and determine appropriate corrective actions. 

  • Promptly communicate critical equipment conditions, operational impacts, and maintenance updates to the Site Manager. 

  • Interpret manuals, blueprints, electrical schematics, and work orders to perform required service tasks. 

  • Respond promptly to maintenance requests and equipment failures to minimize operational downtime. 

  • Troubleshoot and repair motors, motor controls, sensors, switches, relays, contactors, VFDs, and other mechanical and electrical components. 

  • Assist with identifying root causes of recurring equipment failures and recommend corrective actions. 

  • Provide technical assistance and guidance to AOA Maintenance Technician I employees as needed. 

  • Ensure compliance with company safety standards and collaborate effectively within a diverse team. 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS   

  • Valid Driver’s License.  

  • 3+ years’ experience in equipment and maintenance operations  

  • Ability to obtain airport security clearance.   

  • Availability to work day or night shift including weekends and holidays.   

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS   

  • High School diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.  

  • Experience in airport operations or facility maintenance.  

  • Plumbing/electrical background with 480V, 3-phase motors.  

  • Ability to read blueprints and electrical schematics  

  • Working knowledge of mechanical systems, equipment maintenance, and troubleshooting techniques.  

  • Basic proficiency with computers and common software applications.  

PHYSICAL DEMANDS    

While performing the duties of a Maintenance Technician II (AOA), the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands and fingers to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to climb or balance and work in small spaces. Ladder work required. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Ability to work in outside weather conditions on an airport ramp around aircrafts and the confined areas of baggage conveyor systems. Specific vision abilities required by this job include good close proximity vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. Good hand / eye coordination is required.
