*This position is only for undergraduate students who will graduate with bachelors degree in May 2025.
As a Business Analyst Intern, you will leverage materials learned in school and apply them at a thriving IT company specializing in delivering consulting services to the federal government. You will gain IT consulting experience by supporting development of software applications, creating project plans, facilitating meetings, and moving project forward ensuring deliveries are met.
You will collaborate and lead cross-functionally to identify use cases, create project plans, and develop software applications using the Agile-scrum SDLC methodology. Each team will present their final product to the management and executive teams. In addition, you will contribute to writing reports, analyzing data, and make recommendations to improve business operations. 
Overview of Internship Program:The summer program offers ten-week paid, internship at the AnaVation headquarters office in Chantilly, Virginia. The internship program is a combination of mentoring, learning activities, and project work designed to give broad exposure to the inner workings of a government contracting small business. The nature of the assignments will vary, allowing opportunity to exercise customization and creativity, while providing a practical and challenging business experience. Lunch & Learn/Executive Breakfast series with company management and technical leaders

Responsibilities Include

• You’ll be the communication liaison between Product Owners and project teams
• You’ll learn, implement, and lead Agile-scrum SDLC process through project teams
• You’ll lead in creating use cases, user stories, and functional requirements
• You’ll create release schedules, sprint plans, and identify associated tasks to complete the project
• You’ll create, track and update progress using Jira
• You’ll facilitate daily stand-up meetings with stakeholders ensuring project targets are met and progressing
• You’ll share, solve, and document challenges and accomplishments
• You’ll support testing new applications
• You’ll analyze project trends and make recommendations
• You’re a hard worker, reliable and proactive 
• You’re professional and courteous

Qualifications

• Business Administration, Computer Science, or Mathematics majors
• Excellent analytical and communication skills
• Experience programming preferred in Java, Python, MySQL
• Ability to work in teams
