SUMMARY 

This position should be a dynamic and forward thinking professional to lead and evolve the people strategy and the employee experience. Promotes company values and directs the strategy and oversight of all HR functions including talent acquisition, staffing, employment processing, compensation, health and welfare benefits, training and development, records management, succession planning, employee relations and retention, AA/EEO compliance, and labor relations. The ideal candidate has a proven track record of mentoring high-performing teams within growing and decentralized organizations, ability to be hands on in most areas and has a history of tenure reflecting stability and leadership growth. Responsible for three locations in OKC, dotted line to TN and MI. 
 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. 

 

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive people strategy that aligns with the company’s mission and business goals.
  • Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and employee engagement across the organization.
  • Provide executive leadership in all aspects of HR, including talent acquisition, succession planning, and leadership development.
  • Partner with senior leadership to drive change management and organizational growth.
  • Design and oversee strategic compensation and benefits programs to attract and retain top talent.
  • Implement performance management initiatives that promote accountability and professional development. 
  • Partners with plant managers and department leaders to foster a teamwork environment across all functions. 
  • Lead HR technology optimization efforts to streamline processes and enhance employee experience.
  • Ensure compliance with evolving regulations and best practices across multiple locations.
  • Mentor and develop the HR team and other key people leaders.
  • Supports leadership by providing human resources feedback, counsel, and decisions.
  • Gives specific, timely and balanced feedback.
  • Responsible for researching, developing, writing, and updating policies, procedures, methods, and guidelines; communicating and enforcing organization values.
  • Complies with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation; anticipating legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; advising leadership on needed actions.
  • Passionate about continuous improvement; committed to meet or exceed internal and external customer expectations.
  • Exhibits a sense of urgency with regard to achieving goals & objectives.

  • Understands and drives labor costs and expenses to be below plan

  • Reviews wage survey data within labor market to determine competitive wage rate.
  • Oversees the planning and implementation of employee training programs.
  • Responsible for the strategy of the benefits and welfare plans.
  • Responsible for employee activities affecting morale.
  • Oversees the planning and implementation of the plant health programs.
  • Keeps record of hired employee characteristics for governmental reporting purposes.
  • Responsible for development and adherence to the policies, procedures and instructions of the ISO 14001 systems.
  • Responsible for oversight of contracted security company.
  • Other duties may be assigned.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE 

  • Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or 5-7 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience strongly preferred.
  • SPHR or SHRM-SCP certification desirable.
  • Experience with manufacturing is a plus.
  • Experience with ADP is a plus.
