What is the compensation package?
Pay Rate: (G27, G29, G32) $54,259 - $95,462 annually (depending on experience) plus a generous benefits package.

What are the main duties?
Assist existing and new businesses with the development, review, and permitting process.
Resolve issues that arise for companies desiring to do business in Provo.
Be familiar with, promote, calculate, and customize incentive packages and other available programs to foster new and existing business in downtown Provo and throughout the community, including overseeing loan and mentoring programs designed to assist early stage and small start-up businesses.
Collaborate with Downtown Provo Inc. and other Provo-based business associations to improve public private relations, connect businesses to available resources, and enhance the city's economic vitality.
Support business retention through data gathering, analysis, and developing strategies to retain businesses within Provo.
Evaluate and strategize sales tax collection methods.
Seek out and find new and existing businesses throughout the whole city and evaluate their needs, resources, and challenges.
Respond to inquiries from the Governor's Office of Economic Development on businesses interested in relocating to Provo.
Represent the city in networking organizations to facilitate business contacts.
Prepare web content to promote development in Provo.
Assist in finding, fostering, and evaluating new and emerging businesses that would thrive in Provo, including retail, restaurant, and service industries.
Collect and catalogue potential private development property, development, and businesses opportunities.
Perform other related duties as required.
What are the minimum qualifications?
For All Levels
A bachelor’s degree in public or business administration or closely related field.
A valid, lawful driver license.
One Year of job-related experience.
Two years if experience as a Management Analyst or three years of comparable, job-related experience.
Two years of experience as a Management Analyst II or five years of comparable, job-related experience.
Note: Provo City will honor equivalent combinations of job-related educations and experience [substituting each one year of post-secondary education/training for six months of experience].
