Challenge Golf Course is looking to add a Teaching Assistant to the team. In this role, you will be responsible for training clients in golfing fundamentals as they relate to able bodied and challenged golf students. You will provide trainings in individual and group sessions. This role not only provides community outreach, but also lends support for
rehab clients and the local golf community.
A caregiver in this position works 4-hour shifts between 9:00AM – 5:00PM, with some weekend availability required.
A caregiver who excels in this role will:
Utilize knowledge of the game of golf and the skills necessary to perform the golf swing to instruct others.
Handle and process cash and receipts.
Close the facility including managing golf carts for charging and storage.
Assist in the assembly and setting up of equipment for classes.
Practice with golf students by reinforcing the techniques taught during class.
Remove and store equipment used after each golf class.
Select appropriate equipment to meet individual challenges of each student.
Maintain safety practices as they relate to training and supervising golf students.
Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
High School Diploma or GED
Flexibility in hours and scheduling to include evening and weekends
Excellent people skills
Knowledge of various disabilities as they pertain to learning the game of golf
Experience in handling money for challenge golf fees
Knowledge of the game of golf and willingness to learn teaching techniques to become an instructor
Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
Experience as a golf instructor
Customer service experience
