Maintenance – Seed Technician

Description

The Maintenance – Seed Technician is a position utilized by our location to fulfill multiple roles throughout a season as relates to all aspects of seed corn production with a priority in maintenance and preventive maintenance. Other tasks include seed receiving, conditioning, packaging and warehousing. The individual should have a good mechanical aptitude and can include weekends during critical times if necessary. The individual must be able to work together with others, yet when asked, have the ability to complete tasks on their own and on time. The employee must gain an understanding of our company culture and customer relationships. Employee will be required to learn and understand the quality processes and functions of all plant operations.

Requirements

· Reliable, dependable, good attitude

· Ability to perform job tasks safely

· Compliance with location policies and procedures

· Ability to perform general and preventive maintenance on all site equipment

· Ability to perform physical labor, lift greater than 50 lbs.

· Ability to ensure quality and purity in areas of responsibility

· Communicating effectively and positively with all employees and outside people

· Maintaining efficient use of time to ensure company profitability

· Forklift and agricultural experience are preferred

· Preforming additional duties as assigned

· Ability to pass a pre-employment drug rest and background check
