Job Description:
Likewize is searching for Corporate Senior Technical Accountant to join our team at our our global Headquarters in Southlake, TX.
Your day-to-day responsibilities include but are not limited to;
Gather, prepare and analyze global company analytics for the income statement and balance sheet for executive review.
Address year-end auditor inquiries via supporting schedules and accounting memorandums, as well as support for SOC1&2 and any other audits.
Conduct and document research of non-routine accounting transactions to conclude on the appropriate application of U.S. GAAP.
Prepare and record general ledger journal entries for nonroutine transactions
Collaborate with legal, procurement, sales, operations and other functions across the company on accounting treatment for new contracts.
Serve as a back up for the consolidation team in Hyperion HFM and FDM.
Prepare rollforward information for external financial statement disclosures.
Support the preparation of the annual and quarterly financial statements, footnotes, and other compliance certifications, as needed.
Document processes and procedures to aid in cross training team members
Assist with internal control documentation, monitoring, and review
Prepare ad hoc reports and analysis as required
Develop and implement accounting procedures by analyzing current procedures and recommending changes
Support as needed corporate accounting for the global headquarters at Southlake.
If you are who we are looking for, you will have the following education, skills and/or experience;
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (or related field).
2+ years of Public Accounting experience, or 4+ years industry experience in financial reporting or technical accounting
Strong knowledge of general accounting functions and related internal controls
Strong knowledge of US GAAP/ accounting theory
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, ability to conclude on research
Intermediate to advanced excel and word skills
Ability to absorb new concepts and apply in work assignments
Strong analytical skills, problem solving skills and critical thinking skills
Ability to multi-task, shift priorities, and manage workload to meet assigned deadlines
Ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with all levels of employees, management and third parties to maximize performance and continuously improve current processes
Preferred:
CPA certification, or Master’s degree in Accounting
Public accounting experience, preferably Big 4
Foreign Currency revaluation and translation experience, global company experience
Hyperion HFM or FDM knowledge
JD Edwards ERP experience
Blackline experience
Insurance and/or Reinsurance experience
Service contract and/or Warranty experience
Distribution inventory experience
