Description

The Training Director is responsible for the overseeing and operations of the NCC CUA Training Unit, specifically supervising training supervisors and other staff as assigned; supporting the development of program policies and procedures as needed; overseeing the onboarding, orientation, and training of all new NCC CUA staff, including case carrying and non-case carrying employees. Coordinates with training unit supervisors to assure new employees are properly and adequately onboarded and oriented to their duties and responsibilities as an NCC CUA employee and that case carrying staff meet orientation and training regulatory requirements. Works closely with NET training department and DHS University when necessary to ensure staff are receiving the most effective training and work-related education and best practices. Reports to CUA Director.

ESSENTIAL POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Demonstrates an ability for program planning and implementation, staff supervision and delivery of quality services, familiarity with the principles and practices of quality improvement and fiscal management.
  • Coordinates with NET Human Resources to ensure new NCC CUA staff are appropriately onboarded and acclimated to their environment, duties, and functions.
  • Coordinates the “Foundations” state certification program for new NCC Caseworkers and Supervisors.
  • Coordinates the “Bridges” and “LMS” training system for ongoing NCC CUA staff certification.
  • Develop training opportunities for CUA staff and other NET/NCC staff as needed
  • Coordinates with Philadelphia DHS University and NCC leadership to ensure onboarding, orientation and the training needs of staff are being addressed, including individual training plans and minimum annual training hour completion.
  • Participates in continual program evaluation and development, including identification and/or creation and facilitation of training curriculum to address NCC CUA agency needs.
  • Oversight of NCC LEADS and development/mentoring of participants in NCC LEADS program
  • Provides alternate coverage for NCC CUA Case Management Director due to leave or absence, as needed.
  • Provide supervision to NCC CUA Case Managers as indeed in absence of the NCC CUA Training supervisor(s).
  • Participate in workgroups or committees designed to improve practice.
  • Other duties assigned.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in social services or related field
  • Minimum two years’ experience in staff management in children and youth services
  • Strong analytical, project management and communication skills.
  • Strong working knowledge of computer applications (Microsoft Office) and ability to work with various digital information systems
  • Knowledge of social work values and/or child welfare services
