Your Impact

Reporting to the head of Global Payroll and People Accounting, the Global Mobility Specialists will serve as a strategic partner to our recruiting, immigration, Payroll and People Operations teams. The specialist will support the Payroll and Finance organization in playing a critical role in monitoring, administering, and supporting our mobility, traveler’s, expatriate assignment, tax equalization and multi-jurisdiction reporting functions. You will support the current policies, provide guidance, drive compliance, and provide accurate and timely reporting / filings required.

Reports To: Sr. Director, Global Payroll and People Accounting

Essential functions:

  • Supports Global Traveler’s, Expatriate & tax equalization programs at Axon.
  • Provides direction amidst changing business priorities to ensure compliance and legally sound solutions around working abroad.
  • Analyze HR metrics and data to identify trends and propose data-driven solutions to improve employee engagement, retention, and overall team performance.
  • Provides timely guidance, support and advice to business management to develop resolution in managing employees issue and concerns effectively
  • Delivers anecdotal and analytical insights to Payroll organization surrounding cross border reporting packages, number of days working abroad among other mobility metrics deemed to be necessary
  • Collaborate with cross-functional global HR teams to ensure consistency and alignment across the organization while considering the unique needs from a traveler’s POV
  • Coordinate employee education around Traveler’s & non-resident return policies and procedures
  • Support short and long term compliance with EU Posted Worker compliance
  • Monitor and communicate international compliance changes
  • Assist with acquisition and implementation of new international entities, as needed.
  • Provide Global accounting audit support
  • Administer and improve upon annual travel surveys and data collection needs surrounding employee’s working away from the state / country of residence.
  • Supporting expatriate assignments at Axon. Including tax cost estimates, analyzing risk, arranging pre-trip tax consultations, post-trip repatriation meetings with Ernst & Young, assist with signatures / stamps on expatriate tax returns, facilitating wire payments associated to host country tax payments and supporting Expats as needed.
  • Review Expensify / Amex expense details for mobility related expenses needing further reporting
  • Partner with Global Payroll organization on cross training and assisting with payroll and accounting needs.
  • Coordinate requirements with immigration team for visa needs
  • Assist in developing guardrails for expatriate support (preferred vendor lists, moving support, travel booking) in partnership with other organizations.
  • Upload and maintain all proper documentation needed by Ernst & Young to aid in preparation of tax returns
  • Ensure proper setup in Workday, CloudPay, Expensify and any other supporting system regularly
  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices to ensure our programs and policies remain competitive and effective.
  • Executes roadmap to ensure compliance and administration of Global employment and tax reporting requirements.
  • Effectively communicate with leaders and team members across Axon’s departments, in cross collaborative projects and processes.
  • Prioritize and own multiple projects simultaneously, follow through on requests in a timely manner, and bringing awareness to areas of improvement
  • Work independently and as a team collaborator with the ability to change direction quickly and often without having all the details

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in either Global Payroll, Global Mobility, Payroll Accounting, or related field
  • Microsoft Office, Quip, Outlook, Slack, Voxer, Sharepoint and other tools
  • Demonstrated success supporting high-tech, SaaS, start-up and/or complex growth environments a huge
