About the Role:
We are looking for an HR Generalist to join our team. The HR Generalist will be responsible for providing HR support to employees and managers, contributing to manage HR programs and initiatives, and ensuring compliance with company policies and regulations. The candidate will be responsible for employee attendance tracking activities. This role requires an understanding of HR best practices, employee relations, and talent management to drive organizational success. Initially, the role will focus on attendance and HR related activities. Overtime, it will include core payroll responsibilities maintaining payroll reports and records, and addressing employee inquiries on payroll- related matters in alignment with the HR team in Louisville.
Main Responsibilities:
- Serve as advisor to employees and managers on HR-related matters, including performance management, employee relations, and conflict resolution
- Manage recruitment efforts, including sourcing candidates, conducting interviews, and making hiring recommendations
- Manage employee onboarding and offboarding processes, ensuring a positive experience for new hires and departing employees
- Assist on HR projects and initiatives, such as performance evaluations, employee engagement programs, and diversity and inclusion initiatives
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee attendance records and ensure compliance with company attendance policies and procedures
- Maintain HR records and documentation in accordance with data privacy and confidentiality standards
- Is involved in employee relations issues, including investigations, conflict resolution, and disciplinary actions
- Support benefits programs and support open enrollment activities, retirement plans, and other employee benefits
- Support HR projects and initiatives to enhance employee engagement, retention, and organizational culture
- Serve as a primary point of contact for employees on HR-related matters
Who we are looking for:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
- 5-7 years of progressive HR experience, with a focus on employee relations, talent management, and HR programs
- Previous payroll experience is a must
- Knowledge of HR best practices, labor laws, and regulations
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism
- Problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Proficiency in HRIS systems payroll system (UKG, KRONOS, SAP)
- HR certification (e.g. PHR, SPHR) is preferred
