Simpay is currently looking for an experienced Azure Cloud Engineer to take charge of designing, implementing, and maintaining cloud infrastructure solutions on the Microsoft Azure platform. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the availability, scalability, and security of cloud-based applications and services. Your role will involve deploying and configuring Azure resources, managing network connectivity, optimizing performance, and automating operations using Azure tools and services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Azure Infrastructure Design: Collaborate with architects and stakeholders to design scalable and resilient Azure cloud infrastructure solutions that meet business requirements.
- Azure Resource Deployment: Deploy and configure Azure resources, including virtual machines, storage accounts, virtual networks, load balancers, and security groups, using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like ARM templates, Terraform, or Azure PowerShell.
- Networking and Connectivity: Design and implement secure and efficient network connectivity between on-premises infrastructure and Azure resources, utilizing technologies such as Azure Virtual Network, VPN gateways, ExpressRoute, or Azure Firewall.
- Security and Compliance: Implement security measures and best practices to protect Azure resources and applications, including access control, identity and access management, encryption, and compliance standards.
- Performance Optimization: Monitor and optimize the performance and availability of Azure resources, troubleshoot issues, and fine-tune configurations to ensure efficient resource utilization and optimal user experience.
- Automation and Orchestration: Develop and maintain automation scripts and workflows using Azure Automation, Azure Functions, or other relevant tools to streamline provisioning, management, and operations tasks.
- DevOps Integration: Collaborate with development and operations teams to integrate Azure services and resources into CI/CD pipelines, leveraging tools such as Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or Jenkins.
- Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity: Implement disaster recovery and business continuity strategies for Azure resources, including backup and restore mechanisms, geo-redundancy, and fault tolerance.
- Monitoring and Alerting: Set up monitoring and alerting mechanisms to proactively identify and respond to performance issues, security threats, and compliance violations using Azure Monitor, Azure Security Center, or similar tools.
- Troubleshooting and Support: Identify and resolve issues related to build failures, deployment errors, performance bottlenecks, and infrastructure scalability.
- Documentation and Knowledge Sharing: Create technical documentation, architecture diagrams, and operational procedures. Share knowledge and best practices with team members and stakeholders.
Requirements
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Strong experience in designing, implementing, and managing Azure cloud infrastructure solutions.
- Proficiency in deploying and managing Azure resources using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as ARM templates, Terraform, or Azure PowerShell.
- In-depth knowledge of Azure services and resources, including virtual machines, storage accounts, virtual networks, load balancers, and security groups.
- Proficiency in Azure networking concepts and technologies, encompassing VPN, ExpressRoute, DNS, and load balancing.
- Understanding of security principles and experience implementing security measures for Azure resources, such as access control, RBAC, Azure Active Directory, and encryption.
- Experience with monitoring and alerting tools like Azure Monitor, Azure Security Center, Log Analytics, or similar solutions.
- Proficiency in scripting and automation using languages such as PowerShell, Azure CLI, or Python.
- Familiarity with CI/CD processes and tools, including Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or Jenkins.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues in a distributed cloud environment.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
