Your role at Baxter:

Baxter Healthcare is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Associate Director of Clinical Services to lead strategic initiatives focused on optimizing clinical outcomes, enhancing service delivery, and leading the Baxter Advantage Program. This position is crucial in driving evidence-based methodologies to improve patient outcomes and reduce costs in surgical settings.

What you'll be doing:

1. Leadership & Strategy:

  • Oversee the design, implementation, and evaluation of clinical services related to Baxter’s advanced surgical solutions.

  • Lead cross-functional teams to develop and execute strategic initiatives that align with Baxter’s commercial objectives.

  • Other duties as assigned. This may include administrative tasks, special projects, or additional writing assignments that support the overall goals of the Clinical Services team.

2. Clinical Research & Analysis:

  • Conduct clinical research to analyze utilization trends of hemostatic agents and related surgical products, ensuring alignment with market and contract strategies.

  • Collaborate with medical and scientific experts to generate and disseminate evidence that supports the clinical and economic value of Baxter's products.

3. Program Management:

  •  Direct the Baxter Advantage Program, ensuring that it provides actionable insights and practical solutions to healthcare providers on intraoperative blood management and hemostatic resource optimization.

  • Manage live utilization reviews (LURs) to assess blood management practices and identify opportunities for improvement in clinical efficacy and resource allocation.

  •  Develop and implement value-based strategies that address stakeholder barriers and unmet needs in the market.

  • Coordinate with sales and marketing teams to ensure effective communication of clinical outcomes and value propositions.

4. Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including healthcare providers, C-suite executives, and decision-makers in health systems.

  • Present and defend clinical evidence and insights to senior clinical and economic stakeholders, gathering feedback to refine and enhance Baxter's product solutions.

5. Education & Training:

  •  Provide educational presentations and training to internal teams and healthcare providers on the clinical benefits of Baxter's hemostatic solutions and the importance of optimized blood management.

  •  Mentor junior team members in clinical research and service delivery strategies.

What you'll bring:

  • Master’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Nursing, or a related field; MD/DO, PhD or equivalent experience preferred.

  • 8+ years of experience in clinical services, outcomes research, or related roles within the healthcare industry, with a focus on surgical products.

  • Proven track record of successful project management and leadership in cross-functional teams.

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex clinical data and present findings effectively.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with experience engaging senior executives and healthcare stakeholders.

  • Familiarity with regulatory and reimbursement processes in the healthcare landscape, particularly within advanced surgical settings.

  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Preferred Skills:

  • Knowledge of evidence-based medicine and experience in developing quality improvement initiatives.

  • Experience with data visualization tools and methodologies for presenting clinical outcomes.

  • Strong negotiation skills and experience in developing strategic partnerships.
