This high performing team ensures that all changes are implemented successfully across all the Opayo Face-to-Face Payment Gateways.</p><p></p><p><span>As a developer you will be embedded into a SCRUM team, working with business analysts and product owners to clarify business requirements for the team.  You will be a pivotal member of the team ensuring that deliverables have fulfilled all functional and non-functional requirements</span></p><p><span>You will be expected to learn the details of payment processing and collaborate with BAs and Testers to get the job done.  You should have an excellent eye for detail and confidence to hold experienced engineers to account when required.</span></p><p></p><p></p><p><b>Responsibilities:</b></p><p></p><ul><li><p><span>Lead and execute the evaluation of ideas, tools, technology, standards and best practice </span></p></li><li><p><span>Support innovation by acting as a sounding board for ideas and help bring them to life</span></p></li><li><p><span>Actively engage in tracking and reducing technical debt</span></p></li><li><p><span>Excellent communication skills, able to collaborate with wider Opayo team</span></p></li><li><p><span>Strong grasp of industry standards, best practices and design patterns </span></p></li><li><p><span>Be willing to adapt to significant changes in either technology or environment </span></p></li><li><p><span>Provide coaching and mentoring to technical staff</span></p></li><li><p>Monitor operating efficiency of existing application systems. Proactively identify opportunities for improvement and recommends technical solutions.</p></li><li><p>Demonstrate good understanding of the business needs driving the projects.</p></li></ul><ul><li><p>Be an active participant in Agile ceremonies including daily scrum meetings, sprint planning, sprint retrospective, sprint demo, backlog refinements etc.</p></li><li><p>Assist other business area teams, monitoring and responding to inquiries and questions, tracking and logging calls relevant to development environment.</p></li><li><p>Tech stack includes: Unit tests / Jenkins / clang / cmake / AWS / Multi-threaded transactional environment / HSMs / SSL / sockets / sessions / fortify / threadfix / python / powershell / Robot Framework / RDS / JIRA / Confluence / Bitbucket / etc…</p></li></ul><p></p><p></p><p><b>Requirements:</b></p><p></p><ul><li><p>Strong desire to use technical knowledge and learn new systems and business processes</p></li><li><p>Excellent C++ skills</p></li><li><p>Analytical &amp; troubleshooting skills</p></li><li><p>Excellent verbal and written communication skills.</p></li><li><p>Adaptability (work in an agile environment with fast-paced, high-pressure milestones)</p></li><li><p>Comfortable with standard development tools such as GIT, IDEs, Confluence/Jira</p></li><li><p>Experience with Windows Server 2012 R2 &amp; Server 2019</p></li><li><p>Database experience (SQL Server preferred)</p></li><li><p>Ability to multi-task and test a number of projects in parallel</p></li><li><p>Effective management of time and priorities to ensure commitments are met</p></li><li><p>Self-motivated with the energy, drive and ambition to succeed</p></li><li><p>Organised and methodical approach with good attention to detail</p></li><li><p>Presentational skills including creating quality <span>documentation/diagrams</span></p></li><li><p>Good organization skills and ability to manage time and tasks with minimum supervision</p></li><li><p>Readiness to work
