Warehouse Lead

Job Summary

Perform activities related to shipping, receiving and/or inventory control.

Primary Duties

• Expert in one or multiple areas of the warehouse department.
• Communicates with Branch, Warehouse, and/or Operations Manager regarding daily operations.
• Scheduling LTL and FTL shipments and investigating logistical issues.
• Ability to step in as interim Warehouse Manager if absent.
• Expert in inventory control systems using DSP, CSI, or SAP.
• Ensures customer satisfaction through communicating with Supply Chain and Customer Service regarding material, product, orders, shipments, etc.
• Plan and carry out all training of new team members as assigned.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Have good leadership, organizational, communication and math skills.
• Advanced computer skills including MRP systems, email, chat, internet and scanning systems.
• Physical Requirement: Must be able to properly lift, pack, stack and wrap up to 50 pounds on a regular basis. 
• Working Conditions: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk and use hands to touch, grasp, handle and feel items. Noise level is usually moderate. Warehouse temperature may reach up to 90 degrees during the Summer months.

Education / Experience

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• At least 7 years of prior warehouse experience, or 2 years with PTI.
