HighFive Healthcare is a team of healthcare, financial, and human resources professionals dedicated to powering operational efficiencies that allow our Oral Surgery and Endodontic practices to focus on the most important thing – taking care of patients.


Our Value Creation Center (VCC) in our home office centralizes the referring dentist and patient calls for scheduling appointments, verifying patient insurance, and handling the billing processes with healthcare plans. We are searching for a Part-Time Patient Services Specialist who will have one of the most important roles in the office - the face and smile of our practice projected through each call they take. 


Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assist our patients and referring dental offices with scheduling procedures for clinical visits.
  • Answer patient calls promptly, projecting a positive and caring attitude with each conversation.
  • Have a good understanding of scheduling, insurance, and billing processes performed in dental offices.
  • Process and post patient payments.
  • Communicate out of pocket estimates with patients.
  • Assess patient needs and concerns to provide a positive experience and first impression.
  • Be dependable with an organized mindset.
  • Enjoy interacting with patients and working collaboratively with a team.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience: Previous experience in a call center, customer service, or healthcare setting is preferred but not required.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey information clearly and professionally.
  • Organizational Skills: Strong organizational and multitasking abilities, with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Computer Proficiency: Proficient in using computer systems and software, including Microsoft Office and electronic health records (EHR) systems.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Friendly and compassionate  demeanor, with the ability to build rapport with patients and work collaboratively with colleagues.
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to handle difficult situations with patience and problem-solving skills.
  • Time Management: Efficient time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage a high volume of calls.
  • Bilingual: Bilingual skills are a plus but not required.
