Your Responsibilities
As a Industrial/Quality Engineer for JD North American Parts Distribution Ctr located in Milan, IL, you will:
- Lead continuous improvement projects in the areas of safety, quality, delivery, productivity, warehouse densification, and cost
- Support daily operations by serving as the engineering representative and process owner for multiple warehouse production departments.
- Execute current method of manufacturing events (CMM) through time studies, standard data, and industrial engineering calculations
- Create ad-hoc reports and visualizations to enhance daily operations

What Skills You Need
- 1 or more years of experience using engineering tools and processes - either on-the-job or via postsecondary coursework
- Experience gathering, analyzing, and summarizing complex data to make sound decisions
- Experience working effectively in a team environment
- Effective communicator with ability to engage others
- Proven aptitude adopting new technology, systems, processes, and tools
What Makes You Stand Out
- Experience implementing improvements in design, quality, efficiency, and/or productivity
- Understanding of gainsharing programs such as CIPP (Continuous Improvement Pay Plan)
- Experience in programming languages such as SQL, Python, R, Java, or similar
- Experience in data visualization tools such as Microsoft Power BI, Tableau, etc
- Experience in a union represented warehouse environment
- Experience using corrective action tools such as root cause analysis and mistake proofing
- Experience in SAP EWM
Education
Ideally you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent related work experience
