What You'll Do:

Lubrizol is currently looking for an experienced communications professional to join our team. In the role of Senior Manager, Communications, you will be responsible for serving as a communications partner to our Chief Human Resources Officer and other executives and being a trusted communications advisor to our Employee Resource Groups (ERGs). You will work closely with the Director, Communications and the Internal Communications team to develop, execute and measure communications strategies that inform, inspire, and engage our 8,000 global employees in Lubrizol’s purpose, strategy and values. This role is part of a four-person Internal Communications team that closely collaborates with a larger global Marketing Communications team on internal communications strategies and regional execution of global plans and change management communications. The successful candidate must have a proven ability to partner with and influence stakeholders across the organization.

 

What We're Looking For:

  • Work with the Chief Human Resources Officer and HR leadership team to build, execute and measure communication plans for people-focused initiatives in the organization; this includes our Inclusion Diversity & Equity in Action (IDEA) program and supporting the activities of our Employee Resource Groups (ERGs)
  • Work with internal clients and departmental groups to plan and execute communications projects, including needs assessment, scope and budget, timelines, resources and task prioritization.
  • Create and launch internal communications content across our “always-on” communications (SharePoint-based intranet stories, digital signage, newsletters, townhalls, videos); lead the curation and updating of the internal communications content calendar
  • Lead communication planning for organizational changes, ensuring employees are informed and engaged during transitions
  • Create and execute communications and communication plans for special change initiatives and for merger, acquisition, and divestiture activity, as needed
  • Write and/or edit content in many forms and styles, with specific focus on presentations, speaking notes, full remarks and talking points for presenters at special internal events or townhalls
  • Present recommendations to all levels of leadership, including executives, with the ability to communicate complex concepts/positions and at times, influence others to consider alternative points of view.
  • Work closely with all other members the Marketing Communications team, specifically the Internal Communications, Creative Services and Media Services teams to accomplish goals
  • Communicate and present concepts to internal stakeholders, providing consistent, proactive communication about status, milestones, delivery of projects, and coordination of requests and/or feedback, as needed.
  • Oversee the recurring consolidation, analysis and distribution of channel and project KPI metrics on a monthly basis
  • Supporting the translation process for internal communications, where necessary, and leading the vendor relationship
  • Supporting the management and rollout of internal tools, such as an emergency notification tool
  • Support other internal and corporate communications initiatives as needed

 

Skills That Make a Difference: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism or related field
