Job Description
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for all aspects of product quality and reliability from Concept to EOL
- Develop High Level Test Plan & strategy for platforms programs, working with various validation teams on system-level test and qualification methodologies
- Assure implementation of customer, company, and industry quality and reliability standards through the entire product lifecycle.
- Assist and support other program managers in applying a systematic and analytical approach in closing out stop ship/stop build and quality incident alert situations.
- Represent the Platforms quality group in various cross functional team meetings and prepare all required materials for such meetings as identified by manager
- Prepare reports and summaries of DOEs, risk assessments and quality/reliability monitors
- Define product quality monitors and indicators, and work with respective departments to implement them
- Define quality triggers; manage internal quality incident response
- Own all program issues related to product quality and reliability; serve as the voice of quality to product core teams
- Work with respective subject matter experts to drive quality action item closure
Qualifications
REQUIRED:
- 10+ years of quality and reliability experience in a data storage environment at the system and/or drive level
- Thorough understanding of a wide breadth of quality and reliability concepts
- Working knowledge of validation test methodology
- Prior storage platform or networking test/design experience highly desirable
- Prior experience with NAND flash highly desirable
- Bachelor of Science degree in a related engineering discipline required
SKILLS:
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong project management skills
- Agile, Jira use and data mining experience are highly desirable
