YOUR OPPORTUNITY 

We have an exciting FSQA Sanitation Technician opportunity in our Guymon processing facility. In this highly impactful role, you will be a key member of the sanitation services department which is responsible for the cleaning and sanitizing activities for production lines in the harvest and/or fabrication areas of the plant. This position performs routine audits of the sanitation process, pre-operational inspections, area specific swabs to ensure the production floor is cleaned and sanitized to achieve high levels of cleanliness according to the Company’s and USDA’s standards.

RESPONSIBILITIES  

  • Support the effectiveness of sanitation activities through monitoring and auditing of established sanitation programs. 
  • Ensures corrective actions are taken and implemented when an issue is identified that the sanitation program has pre-operational inspection failure. 
  • Maintains documentation for compliance with Seaboard Foods’s sanitation plan, including supporting documentation. 
  • Evaluates the Seaboard’s sanitation programs routinely to recommend changes if necessary and collaborates with the food safety team to ensure the sanitation program is adhering to the established policies. 
  • Stays current and up to date on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in sanitation management as well as communicating all changes to Company policies and protocols to employees. 
  • Promotes safe work practices, follows GMPs, maintains sanitary conditions, and ensures that product quality is not impacted by the activities of the sanitation services department. 
  • Informs supervisors of any conditions or practices that may adversely affect food safety, food quality, or personnel safety. 
  • Perform microbial swabs/testing to validate the effectiveness of the sanitation process.
