Your tasks

• You are part of the extended management team and responsible for the #TechTransformation within Mercedes-Benz Tech Innovation. In your role, the focus is on the development of cloud native platform solutions.

• Together with your management team, you have financial and disciplinary responsibility for the business stream and manage it holistically.

• Together with the various business units of the Group, you will shape the future platform strategy and integrate modern technologies with the development teams of the business stream in order to design, develop and operate challenging platform architectures.

• A strong focus on FOSS components allows you to have a close relationship with the global development community, where you proactively participate as a designer.

• With the Group's various software development hubs (Home of Tech), you will build international teams and take advantage of the diversity of the international Group.

• In close contact with the responsible management of the respective platform users, you will clarify objectives, cooperation models and joint strategy and create an overall picture that can be reached by consensus.

• As a member of decision-making bodies and boards, you represent Mercedes-Benz Tech Innovation within Mercedes-Benz AG and are involved in forward-looking technology decisions for Mercedes-Benz as a whole.

Your Profile

• You have a degree in a technical course of study or a comparable qualification.

• You can already look back on several years of practical experience in software development with strong leadership experience in modern organizations.

• You have in-depth knowledge of the business fundamentals of business management.

• You have solid knowledge of technologies and frameworks such as cloud native technologies, open source, DevSecOps, platform engineering, microservice architectures and containerization and know the offerings of the dominant hypescalers.

• You combine a modern understanding of leadership, the will to succeed and an open personality to inspire and advance those around you.

• The role of Stream Lead (m/f/d) requires a certain degree of willingness to travel, especially to our tech hubs in Malaysia, Turkey, Spain and India, among others.

• We require fluent German and English skills, both written and spoken.
