General Summary
As Manager, Accounts Receivable, you will be responsible for leading the Accounts Receivable team. This role is responsible for managing and supporting the overall invoicing, collection, and cash application activities and the timely management of all AR aging components performed by you and your team. This team has a direct impact on our customer relationships and supports the accounting, sales and customer service teams. Ultimately, you should be able to ensure accuracy and efficiency throughout our entire Accounts Receivable process. The ideal candidate is someone who is positive, goal-oriented, outcome-focused and results-driven.

You will sit directly with the Accounting team, work in close collaboration with Accounting, Sales and Customer Service teams, and report to the Controller.
Core Functions
- Set objectives for the Accounts Receivable team that align with the accounting department’s overall goals.
- Support Accounts Receivable team members on a daily basis and train new team members.
- Maintain accurate customer account balances and reconcile account discrepancies.
- Coordinate the processing of daily receipts ensuring prompt and accurate posting of payments to customer accounts; credit card, checks, lockbox, ACH, and wire payments.
- Manage billing credits, chargebacks and other transactions that impact customer accounts.
- Ensure billing, customer statements, and reporting activities are complete according to deadlines.
- Ensure high-quality invoicing and collection procedures that comply with applicable laws and regulations.
- Manage and oversee collection activities such as negotiating with past-due accounts, determining the release of held orders and sending follow-ups.
- Contribute to the development of processes and procedures that continually improve the Accounts Receivable function.
- Partner with sales and customer service teams to resolve customer billing issues.
- Take on special projects as assigned by management.

Requirements
- 4+ years experience working within an Accounts Receivable team with a strong desire for previous people management experience.
- Technically savvy and comfortable with accounting/billing software; prior experience using NetSuite strongly preferred.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while supporting the prioritization of work for the team.
- Proven ability to learn and apply new technologies.
- Empathetic approach to troubleshooting and customer service.
- A quick learner who is willing to take initiative and has great follow through.
- Strong listening skills and analytic abilities.
- Passion for applied learning in a fast paced environment.
