We’re Growing! Join Chemring Energetic Devices as a Shipping & Receiving Clerk

Chemring Energetic Devices (CED) is expanding rapidly to meet the growing demand for mission-critical energetic devices used in the space and defense industries. We are looking for a Shipping & Receiving Clerk to join our team in Downers Grove, IL. This role is crucial in ensuring the efficient flow of materials, including handling, receiving, and shipping hazardous and energetic materials while maintaining compliance with strict industry regulations.

What You’ll Do:

?? Receive and log shipments into our materials management system.
?? Safely handle explosives and hazardous materials in compliance with DoD, OSHA, EPA, and DOT regulations.
?? Oversee shipping logistics for finished goods, including hazardous materials.
?? Maintain accurate shipping documentation (bills of lading, manifests, SDS, etc.).
?? Operate forklifts for material movement.
?? Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 and other quality standards.
?? Support warehouse process improvements and material control.

Requirements

Qualifications:

• U.S. Person per ITAR regulations: (Individuals who are U.S. citizens / Individuals who are granted U.S. permanent residence (Green Card holders) / Individuals who are granted status as a “protected person” under 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3) (refugees and asylum recipients) / Individuals who are granted status as a “protected person” under 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3) (refugees and asylum recipients).  
•  CDL with local transport experience strongly preferred 
•  Ability to obtain ATF clearance for handling explosives.  
•  Experience with hazardous materials handling, waste disposal, and explosives safety (or willingness to train).  
•  Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.  
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs. and work in an environment with hazardous materials.  
• Forklift certification (or ability to obtain a certification).
