$10,000 Sign on Bonus
Hours: Full-time: Weekend Package 11am - 11pm - 35% wage incentive for weekend package
Essential Job Functions include but are not limited to:
- Conduct thorough patient assessments and triage incoming patients based on urgency.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Monitor patient vitals and report any significant changes to the medical team.
- Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and other healthcare professionals to create and implement individualized care plans.
- Educate patients and their families about health management and post-discharge care.
- Respond swiftly to emergency situations and provide immediate care.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in accordance with hospital policies.
- Must be able to perform the physical demands of the job.
- Maintains regular and reliable attendance.
- Utilize documentation methods as approved by Mahaska Health.
Requirements include but are not limited to:
- A graduate from an accredited school of nursing and currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state of Iowa (or) a graduate from an accredited school of nursing and currently licensed as a Registered Nurse able to work in the state of Iowa.
- Required to be current in BLS (Basic Life Support) by the standards of the American Heart Association.
- Required to show proof of having completed Mandatory Reporter course at the time of hire or attend within 6 months of the start date.
- Must adhere to all training requirements as mandated by Federal, State, and Professional licensure and regulatory standards.
- Required to be certified in ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) and PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) within one year of hire.
- Required to be certified in TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core) within 1 year of hire.
- Required to complete 16 hours of continuing trauma medical education every 4 years. 4 hours of the continuing education will be formal, and 12 hours may be informal.
- Completion of Crisis Prevention Intervention training (CPI) or equivalent.
