As a Restaurant Team Leader at W Costa Navarino, you will be a key player in delivering exceptional dining experiences to our guests. You will lead a team of service staff, ensuring that the restaurant operates smoothly, guest needs are met, and service standards are upheld. Your leadership, attention to detail, and passion for hospitality will contribute to the success of our food and beverage operations.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and motivate a team of servers, hosts/hostesses, and bartenders to ensure they provide exceptional service.
• Set performance expectations, provide feedback, and foster a positive and productive work environment.
• Manage staff schedules and ensure adequate coverage for shifts.
• Lead by example in delivering a high level of guest service and satisfaction, aligning with the W Costa Navarino brand standards.
• Handle guest feedback and concerns professionally, striving for resolution and guest retention.
• Oversee the day-to-day restaurant operations, including opening and closing procedures, service quality, and cleanliness.
• Monitor and manage inventory, including food and beverage supplies, to prevent shortages and waste.
• Ensure a well-organized and efficient front-of-house operation.
• Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of the restaurant's menu offerings, wine and beverage lists, and seasonal changes.
• Train and mentor staff to have a thorough knowledge of menu items and assist guests with menu choices.
• Monitor and manage the restaurant's financial performance, including revenue, expenses, and profitability.
• Implement cost control measures to optimize financial results while maintaining service quality.
•  Uphold and enforce food safety and hygiene standards.
• Ensure consistent and high-quality food and beverage service through regular staff training and evaluations.
• Develop strong teamwork within the team.
• Support / assist the Restaurant Manager and replace him in case of his/her absence.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years’ proven experience in a leadership role within the food and beverage industry, particularly in an upscale or fine dining setting.
• Bachelor’s degree in hospitality / Tourism management preferred.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficiency in managing financial aspects of restaurant operations, including budgeting and cost control.
• Knowledge of food safety and industry standards.
• A passion for delivering outstanding guest experiences.
• Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• An innovative mindset and the ability to adapt to changing market conditions and industry trends.
• Ability to speak, write and converse freely in both Greek and English – knowledge of another language will be considered as a plus.
