Director of Development serves as a growth agent within Connecticut’s most unique Life Plan Community. Founded in 1906, Elim Park, a 501-C-3 exists to exceed the expectations of the seniors who call Elim Park home as well as the greater Cheshire community. The Director of Development is a key leader, responsible for securing the financial resources necessary to support and grow Elim Park’s organization's work.
Areas of focus:
Upcoming Capital Campaign to facilitate upcoming major building project.
Raising support from Elim Park community members and other stakeholders to grow the Elim Park Foundation.
Building relationships with all members of the Elim Park community to enable ongoing infrastructure capital improvements and other projects to benefit the community.
Promote regular charitable giving through an annual appeal.
Experience with grant writing.
- Developing and Implementing Fundraising Strategies:
- Working with the Executive Director to set fundraising goals and develop comprehensive fundraising plans.
- Identifying and researching potential funding sources.
- Creating and managing fundraising campaigns, including special events, direct mail, and online giving.
- Cultivating Donor Relationships:
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with current and prospective donors.
- Soliciting donations and stewarding donors to ensure continued support.
- Developing and implementing donor engagement strategies to foster long-term relationships.
- Ensuring accurate and timely record-keeping of donor information and gifts.
- Communicating and Reporting:
- Communicating fundraising progress and results to the Executive Director, Board, and other stakeholders.
- Preparing reports on fundraising activities and outcomes.
- Promoting the organization's mission and fundraising needs to the public and key stakeholders.
- Other Responsibilities:
- Staying up-to-date on best practices in fundraising and non-profit management.
- Collaborating with other departments within the organization to support fundraising efforts.
- Ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations related to fundraising.
