Position Title: AUDIOVISUAL DESIGN ASSOCIATE (Remote)  

Salary: $70000 - $82000 / year

Job Summary

Waveguide’s audiovisual design associates provide support in the design and drawing production of audiovisual systems for large corporate and higher education AV projects. This role is anticipated to be full remote / work from home with minimal (<10%) travel required (mainly for training and occasional staff meetings or project site reviews) assuming the candidate meets the minimum home-office requirements.

• Infrastructure Drawing/Model
• Power/Data Drawing/Model
• AV Equipment Plans, Sections, and Elevations
• Level Drawing/Model maintenance
• Assist in major design projects

Role Qualifications

• 1-2 years professional experience
• Relevant two-year technical degree (e.g. AS Engineering Technology), or higher
• Experience with both AutoCAD and Revit design software preferred
• AVIXA Certified Technology Specialist (CTS) certification preferred
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• General understanding of commercial/institutional AV technology applications and operations, including audio systems, video display technology, audio/video teleconferencing, digital signage, AV signal management and integrated control
• Basic familiarity with commercial/institutional building design and construction, including understanding of typical building systems (i.e. HVAC, electrical, lighting, building controls, security, etc.), AE design documentation
• Suitable environment for audio and video calls, 90+% remote work anticipated.  Minimal travel required (<10%, mainly for training and occasional staff meetings or project site reviews)
