As a Security Officer with Allied Universal at a leading manufacturing and industrial location, you will play a key role in access control, helping to deter unauthorized entry and supporting a secure environment for all personnel and visitors. Your responsibilities will include monitoring entry points, verifying credentials, and conducting routine patrols of the premises. You will remain highly visible to help deter security-related incidents and provide exceptional customer service through clear communication and a professional presence. This position may involve working in unique settings with limited on-site facilities, offering a dynamic and engaging work environment. Pay Rate: $16.48 / Hour

Job Schedule:

DayTimeTue03:00 PM - 11:00 PMSun03:00 PM - 11:00 PM

What You’ll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Monitor and control access to the location, verifying credentials and granting entry to authorized personnel, visitors, and vehicles as required by site-specific policies.
• Provide customer service by assisting employees, visitors, and contractors with inquiries related to access procedures and site protocols.
• Carry out security-related procedures in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific guidelines, including responding to alarms and access control system notifications.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols for the location.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and report any suspicious activity or security-related concerns.
• Document and report all access control activities, incidents, and observations in a timely and accurate manner as required by site procedures.
• Collaborate with site management and/or law enforcement as needed during emergency response activities or investigations.

Minimum Requirements:

• Experience working at locations with limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets or rustic guard shacks is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
