JOB TITLE: Senior Construction Quality Control Manager

REPORTS TO: Senior Construction Program Manager

SUMMARY:

As the Senior Construction Quality Control Manager in Construction West, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and compliance of construction projects within the region. Reporting to the Senior Program Manager, you will oversee the implementation of quality control processes and procedures, conduct inspections and audits, and provide guidance to project teams to ensure adherence to quality standards and regulatory requirements. Your role is crucial in maintaining the reputation of the organization for delivering high-quality construction projects.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop and implement quality control plans and procedures for construction projects in the Northwest region, in compliance with project specifications and regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct regular inspections and audits of construction sites to monitor compliance with quality control standards, specifications, and codes.
  • Review project documentation, including drawings, specifications, and submittals, to identify quality control requirements and ensure adherence throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Coordinate with project managers, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers to address quality issues and non-conformances promptly and effectively.
  • Provide training and guidance to project teams on quality control procedures, best practices, and regulatory requirements.
  • Document and report quality control activities, findings, and corrective actions to project stakeholders and management.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Quality Assurance/Quality Control to continuously improve quality control processes and procedures based on lessons learned and industry best practices.
  • Participate in pre-construction meetings, design reviews, and project kickoff meetings to provide input on quality control requirements and expectations.
  • Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions to address recurring quality issues and improve project outcomes.
  • Stay current with industry standards, codes, and regulations related to construction quality control and incorporate relevant updates into project processes and procedures.
