Technical Writer

The Technical Writer is responsible for generating innovative ideas for content while working both independently and collaboratively as part of a team. The position will research processes, services, technology, and/or concepts to be documented and easily understood by a broad audience.
Major Areas of Accountability
- Determine the clearest and most logical way to present information for greatest reader comprehension.
- Generate innovative ideas for content and workflow solutions.
- Meet with subject-matter experts to ensure specialized topics are appropriately addressed.
- Analyze information required for the development or updates policy, procedure, and form documentation.
- Write for a variety of audiences.
- Creates documentation and education materials to improve user experience, quality, and adherence.
- Continuously edit and revise content to ensure users have the best possible experience.
- Review and/or copyedit content developed by other members of the team.
- Learn complex concepts and communicate the information in a way that is engaging and understood by users.
- Gather customer feedback on documentation to improve usability.
- Act as an editor to ensure consistency and accuracy in documentation.
- Maintain a documentation repository, cataloging it for internal and/or external use.
- Other duties as assigned.
Essential Qualifications
- Minimum BA/BS English, Communication, or related major.
- 5+ years experience as a Writer
- Fluency in technical and common office software
- Able to effectively communicate with all levels and areas of the organization, leading multiple projects and manage deadlines, proficient in English.
- Excellent written skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to prioritize and work on multiple projects in a fast-paced, changing environment
- Ability to check all technical material for consistency and accuracy
- Ability to work successfully as an individual and team contributor
- Willingness and ability to travel, including overnight – up to 10%

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

- Experience in the field of Medical Devices including Revenue Cycle Management. Preferred experience in Durable Medical Equipment.
