Overview
Element has an opportunity for a Facilities Technician who is responsible for the safe and ongoing maintenance and repair of our Gainesville, GA lab. This role will be responsible for maintaining and repairing various chamber systems, ongoing preventative maintenance for various test equipment, as well as supporting light electrical work as needed in our testing environment. We are looking for someone that is knowledgeable about a wide variety of electrical and mechanical systems.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and repair various chambers, cooling towers, vibration equipment, electrical panels, and a wide variety of other mechanical needs
- Troubleshoot and repair testing equipment and controls
- Perform preventative maintenance on equipment within the laboratory including replacing filters and fans for battery cyclers
- Light electrical work such as moving sockets and wiring for custom test rigs
- Supporting light fixturing modifications using on site workbench and light mechanical tools
- Help lab in moving equipment, organizing shipping area/pallets within facility, and supporting moving samples at direction of logistics coordinator
- Support lab in wiring and electrical for customer test setups related to battery testing (short circuit, power banks, resistor banks, etc)
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies
Skills / Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 5+ years of experience in supporting facilities related mechanical, electrical, and other related repair and maintenance
- Strong knowledge of systems for environmental chambers
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Knowledge of safety regulations and guidelines
