Examine, analyze, and interpret accounting records to prepare financial statements, give advice, or audit and evaluate statements prepared by others. Provide ongoing finance and accounting support to strategy leads and Finance Business Partners. Lead finance reporting, accounting, analysis, and tool building/maintenance to support the PDMS (Product Design and Manufacturing Solutions) and EMS (Entertainment and Media Solutions) strategy teams. Proactively identify business drivers and analyze the business, utilizing accounting data to identify trends, opportunities, and risks. Develop and present financial and accounting analysis and recommendations based on insights to finance business partners and other stakeholders. Make recommendations regarding financial tools for simplification/improvements. Leveraging upon expertise, help build self-serve accounting tools that drive financial insight and are easy to use, allowing the finance team to focus on higher value work, in addition to new accounting and finance models to forecast future performance. Automate financial/accounting processes where possible so that the team can spend less time on manual tasks and more time driving actionable insights. As a senior member/team lead, support cross-company collaboration to achieve desired finance outcomes. Must be available to work on projects at various, unanticipated sites throughout the United States. Telecommuting is permitted.
Minimum Requirements:
Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field and 3 years of experience in the job offered or in a financial analyst/associate-related occupation.
Position requires a Certified Public Accountant Certificate.

Skill Requirements:
Position requires at least 3 years of experience in each of the following skills:
Financial Statement analysis with an ability to analyze trends and investigate variances period over period.
Experience with financial metrics and differences between them (i.e., billings, revenue, COGS, OPEX, etc)
Exposure to business models in the media entertainment industry and ability to perform market analysis based on factors including but not limited to seasonality and geographical regions
Utilize knowledge of subscription-based technology firm metrics to analyze billing and subscriber relationship and forecast future performance
Preparation of flux analysis, specifically focused on top-line metrics such as billings and revenue, using excel or reconciliation tools.
Utilize accounting knowledge under US GAAP such as revenue recognition to analyze impact to products and business in the software industry
Experience in project management to prioritize tasks and bring to finish line with proper personnel allocation, time management and effective communication
Run reports out of ERP systems and other boundary systems in order to pull information from large data sets and interpret results

Salary transparency
Salary is one part of Autodesk’s competitive compensation package. For U.S.-based roles, we expect a starting base salary between $113,818 - $159,300 / per year. Offers are based on the candidate’s experience and geographic location. In addition to base salaries, we also have a significant emphasis on annual cash bonuses, commissions for sales roles, stock grants, and a comprehensive benefits package.
