Service Desk Technician

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Support Marine Corps Base Hawaii's Trouble/Help desk by clarifying the subscriber's problem, performing on-line fault isolation and generating a trouble ticket by entering data into the computerized Telephone Management System. The current TMS is CAIRS.
• Conduct telephone cable damage investigations as required. Process work-orders for locates, moves, new installs, and disconnection of services.
• Coordinate telecommunications concerns, through the COR, with base public works and facilities maintenance, as required.
• Assist government personnel in coordinating special projects.

Qualifications:

• Have knowledge of Cisco call manager and Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) systems and all associated equipment and interfaces (primary rate interface, basic rate interface).
• Bachelor's degree in a telecommunications field or five (5) years help desk service experience is required.
• Personnel must meet DODD 8570.01- A+, Network + , or Security + - If an A+ must be able to obtain a Sec+ within 6 months of hire.
• Security Clearance and Information Technology (IT) Level. All personnel performing on or supporting a MCHB contract in any way will be U.S. citizens.
• Secret Clearance preferred.
