This position is in our Irvine, California Corporate Headquarters with the opportunity for a hybrid schedule.
Sr. Financial Analyst – Financial Reporting and Technical Accounting
As part of the Financial Reporting team within the Corporate Controller’s Group, the Senior Financial Analyst, Financial Reporting assists with the planning, preparation, and filing of timely and accurate financial reports while maintaining appropriate supporting documentation and an effective internal control environment. The role will report to the Corporate Accounting Manager.
The role:
Assist with the preparation of SEC-style quarterly and annual financial reports and ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines
Prepare financial statements and disclosures, ensuring they are supported with clear and well-organized documentation including detailed financial calculations and analyses
Maintain footnote supporting schedules, tie-out binder, and other related annual and quarterly support
Support the preparation and review of quarterly earnings presentations and related materials and Board Decks
Assist in researching accounting and reporting matters and assessing the impact to the financial statements
Assist in the monitoring and review of global lease portfolio
Assist in corporate month-end or quarter-end closing process as needed
Assist in maintaining an effective internal control environment
Assist in the preparation of technical accounting memos to document analyses, summarize applicability, and design/execute implementation processes
Assist in other ad hoc projects as needed
What you bring to the role:
Bachelor's degree in accountancy, MBA or advanced degree is a plus
CPA required
Two to four years of experience required in financial accounting and reporting and/or auditing role (Big 4 firm preferred)
Strong communication skills with the ability to influence coordinate and work with various levels of management and different departments
Up to date knowledge in U.S. generally accepted accounting principles and SEC reporting- experience with IFRS a plus
Attention to details and strong interest and initiative to drive process improvements
