The hourly pay band for this position is $25.00 - $35.00 based on experience, certifications, licensure, education, and location.

Who We're Looking For

We are currently looking to hire a Registered Veterinary Technician to join our team! The ideal candidate will be a dependable, detail-oriented team player who loves pets and being part of a fun, supportive team. They will have experience rooming patients, surgical assisting experience, and knowledge of equipment used, drawing blood and running bloodwork, knowledge of x-rays and proper positioning, experience with proper animal handling and restraint, understanding the importance of client education, and being a positive and motivating team member.

Requirements

  • Registered Veterinary Technician
  • 1+ years of veterinary experience (preferred)
  • Knowledge of industry tools and equipment
  • Passion for working with animals and their owners
  • Experience with proper animal handling and restraint
  • Obtaining accurate and thorough medical histories
  • TPR
  • Assisting doctor and other technical staff with restraint
  • Blood draws (cephalic, saphenous, and jugular)
  • Placing IV catheters
  • Digital radiology including positioning.
  • Dentistry (digital x-rays, scaling, polishing)
  • Anesthesia (induction, intubation, monitoring, aseptic technique)
  • Laboratory skills such as ear and fecal cytology; HM5; Vetscan; Sedivue
  • Excellent client communication/education

    Qualifications 

    • Experience as a veterinary technician or assistant. 

    • Strong animal handling skills and knowledge of clinical procedures. 

    • Excellent communication and teamwork skills. 

    • Veterinary Technician Certification (CVT, RVT, or LVT) preferred – or eligibility to obtain licensure based on state requirements. 

    • A degree from an AVMA-accredited Veterinary Technology program is preferred but not required. 

    Responsibilities 

    • Assist veterinarians with exams, treatments, and surgical procedures. 

    • Safely handle and restrain animals; administer medications and vaccines. 

    • Collect lab samples and maintain accurate patient records. 

    • Educate clients on pet care and ensure a clean, organized work environment.
