Job Description
AECOM is currently seeking a Security Projects Manager for our West Palm Beach office.
This role is responsible for but not limited to the following:
- Performs periodic site visits of Security projects under construction and prepares site observation reports for management.
- Reports daily to upper management advising on project status and any issues or concerns.
- Ensures that Project Safety is maintained and notifies upper management of any unsafe conditions.
- Ensures the required ten-foot separation between the work area and student occupied spaces is maintained and required safety fencing is installed.
- Tracks progress of the Security projects against the Construction Schedule and advise upper management on status.
- Develops a collaborative relationship with the General Contractor and school facility staff, ensuring that no disruption of the school facility by construction activities occurs.
- Immediately notifies upper management of any life safety systems that are taken out of service, no matter what the cause.
- Maintains an Inspection Report Tracking Log. Ensures that inspection requests for all work required to be inspected by the Florida Building Code and the BCSB Building Department have been submitted to the appropriate Authority Having Jurisdiction, and that a written record of the inspection request is attached to the daily observation report.
- Assists Program Commissioning Staff and prepares the Receiving Report (RR) and the Pre-Functional Checklist (PFC) as required by the PMOR Commissioning Plan.
- Verifies that all equipment and materials have been submitted and approved by the Engineer of Record, BCSB Facilities Department, and other required stakeholders.
- Attend Owner/Architect /Contractor progress meetings as required and advise upper management on project status.
- * Does not direct the Contractor or his subcontractors to perform any work or direct them to stop any work.
- Notifies upper management immediately of any non-conforming work and waits for guidance.
- Documents all Owner design changes, ASI’s, and RFI’s, and ensures they are incorporated into the General Contractors record set.
- Reviews the Permit Set of Documents and ensure that the General Contractor has them available and accessible for BCSB Building and Fire Department use at all times.
- Manages one or more moderately complex project, involving a combination of the following:
- Clients with a regional geographic footprint; OR,
- Projects involving multiple services provided by regional IE offices; OR,
- Other complexities, such as projects that involve litigation, environmental protection, due diligence, etc.
- May manage all phases of projects (from beginning to close out).
