Department Overview
The NG9-1-1 Call Handling Pre-Sales Solutions Architect is a part of the International Command Center Software (CCSW) Presales team, which is a group within Motorola Solutions, Inc. that provides industry leading, next generation Citizen Engagement, 9-1-1 Call Taking, Computer Aided Dispatch, Records Management, Jail Management, Public Service 311, and analytics software applications to the Public Safety and Public Service markets. No other company has the breadth and depth of technology and experience to deliver end to end public safety applications and mission critical voice and data communications systems. Notably, the role will be heavily focused on NG9-1-1, Call Taking and related platforms. The International Pre-Sales Solutions Architect - Call Handling will collaborate with the Sales, Engineering, Product, and other Presales teams to support the development of customer proposals, demos and offers in Latin America and the Caribbean primarily focused on owning the technical architecture and strategy, interface design, engineering diagrams, equipment lists, solution acceptance test plans, risk mitigation and engineering labor models.
Job Description
The Next Generation 9-1-1 Call Handling Pre-Sales Solution Architecture team supports the Sales organization with evaluating a customer’s needs in regard to NG9-1-1 Call Handling solutions from our various solution offerings and subsequently designs the appropriate solution.
Additionally, they will assist with completing required Request for Proposal (RFP) and Quote request documents, recommendations for overall system design, and identifying unique requirements for a given solution. The team will support the Sales Organization with customer meeting support, site walks, and requirements gathering. They will provide product demonstration support for customer meetings, regional and national trade shows.
The position will be responsible for but not limited to the following:
Manages presale opportunities and implementation of the identified complex projects; this comprises all stages of the projects, starting from scope definition until the final close of the project, involved in the entire integration process
Management of all aspects of the technical solution, Customer requirements and expectations within the projects
Defines directions and requirements to ensure timely implementation and quality of the technical solutions
Responsible for the preparation of system bids, taking into account the customer's needs and the equipment available, as well as any modifications required in conjunction with the product group
Works with operations as well as other internal and external developers of the networking products and systems to meet customers' delivery requirements and meeting deadlines
You will help train other in-region presales resources about the VESTA 9-1-1 / NXT and other related products presales activities and motions
You will ensure alignment between North America (NA) presales practices, so that the presales motion is delivered consistently across the worldwide portfolio and may be expected to travel to the US from time to time to learn, participate and stay current on NA methodologies and tools
This is a customer facing position that relies on solid presentation skills, experience with a wide variety of audiences and a deep knowledge of various public safety agencies. Working with both customer and internal teams requires excellent interpersonal skills, leadership qualities, communication skills, and a collaborative attitude.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent
Technical Knowledge of 911 Emergency Call Handling systems, related Equipment, caller location technologies, Network and Telephony architecture strongly preferred
