THE JOB:

The Food Server's primary responsibility is to take and deliver orders, maintain tables, ensure guest satisfaction, and process payments. Additional duties include performing side work and keeping assigned stations clean.

THE STARTING RATE: $7.70 per hour plus tips

THE DAY-TO-DAY:

• Welcome guests warmly, creating a friendly and inviting atmosphere.

• Demonstrate expertise in menu items, including all courses and beverage offerings, using effective selling techniques.

• Maintain table cleanliness discreetly through a silent service approach.

• Accurately itemize bills and efficiently process payments.

• Keep assigned areas, side stations, tables, and POS stations clean and well-stocked.

• Anticipate guest needs and respond promptly with urgency.

• Collaborate with management, chefs, and culinary staff to address guest requests and operational needs.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

• Is an expertise in menu items, including wine and champagne by the glass, major wines, liquor brands, beer, non-alcoholic beverages, appropriate glassware, terminology, and garnishes.

• Familiarity with standard kitchen equipment and supplies such as toasters, refrigerators, coolers, slicers, and beverage machines.

• Understanding of health, safety, and sanitation regulations.

• Proficient in using computers and Point of Sale (POS) systems.

• Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal.

• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills for effective communication with guests and team members.

• Knowledge of services, features, local attractions, and activities to respond to guest inquiries accurately.

• Has five (5) years of previous serving experience in a fast-paced, high-volume restaurant (preferred)

• Is available to work varied shifts including holidays and weekends
