Job Description:

THE OPPORTUNITY

We are seeking a highly skilled and strategic Sr. Director of Enterprise Financial Planning & Analysis to join our dynamic team. The Sr. Director of Enterprise FP&A will be a part of  Scholastic’s Enterprise FP&A team, working across all lines of business, reporting to the VP of Finance for Strategic Planning. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in shaping the company’s financial future by spearheading the development of our long-range plan, establishing comprehensive internal and external enterprise metrics, and coordinating financial analyses for various stakeholders, including investors, creditors, acquisitions, and other key partners. This position requires a proven track record in FP&A, exceptional leadership skills, and the ability to drive financial strategy aligned with organizational goals.

RESPONSIBILITIES

●Long-Range Planning:

Develop and implement a comprehensive long-range financial plan that aligns with the company’s strategic objectives.

Collaborate with senior leadership to identify growth opportunities, market trends, and potential risks affecting the financial landscape.

●Enterprise Metrics and Reporting:

Define and implement key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure the company’s financial performance.

Establish robust internal reporting mechanisms to provide timely and accurate financial information to senior leadership.

●Financial Analysis:

Lead the coordination and preparation of financial analyses for investors, creditors, and potential partners, ensuring transparency and accuracy in reporting.

Conduct scenario analysis and sensitivity testing to assess potential impacts on financial outcomes.

●Risk Management:

Assess and mitigate financial risks by developing and implementing risk management strategies.

Stay abreast of industry developments, regulatory changes, and economic indicators that may impact financial performance.

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting or equivalent
