Position Overview:

Design, implement, and maintain investment reporting to ensure timely, accurate, meaningful, and cost-effective analytics to regular and ad hoc reporting requests. Develop process enhancements and/or tools to improve efficiency and effectiveness of Investment Reporting and provide other project support to the team. 

Responsibilities:

  • Develop process enhancements and implement and leverage reporting tools, which could include:

- Support the transition from legacy databases to the Investment Data Warehouse

- Enhance reporting process to reduce manual effort

- Identify opportunities in daily processing to reduce human effort

  • Develop and execute reporting deliverables for internal and external partners.

  • Lead the development of reporting policies, procedures, standards, and controls. Investigate and make recommendations on report consolidation, standardization, and optimization across all investment reports

  • Build a deep knowledge of RGA’s portfolio and data structures in the system

  • Build a deep knowledge of existing investment-related systems and software (i.e. Power BI, Tableau, Aladdin, Bloomberg, etc.)

  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with Investments front, middle, and back office as well as with RGA corporate partners (i.e., IT, Accounting, Structured Finance, etc.)

  • Assist in special projects, committees, and meetings as required

  • Maintain regular and predictable attendance

  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

Education and Experience:

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Finance, Mathematics, or related field, AND 7+ years of relevant work experience OR

  • Master’s, MBA, ASA, or FSA AND 5+ years of relevant work experience

Preferred: 

  • CFA designation OR demonstrable understanding of fixed income investing

  • Third party investor and/or fund reporting experience

  • Exceptional investigative, analytical, and problem-solving skills

  • Role model in a highly collaborative environment  

  • Strong ability to work well in an environment with multiple concurrent projects, cyclical workflow and demanding time frames

  • Ability to adapt to changing circumstances while managing multiple concurrent deadlines  

  • Strong oral and written communication skills, demonstrating the ability to convey business terminology that is meaningful and well received

  • Advanced ability to interact with individuals across a wide variety of operational, functional, and technical disciplines

  • Strong ability to initiate, think outside the box, execute, and bring ideas to fruition

  • Ability to work well individually with little supervision as well as within a team

  • Self-starter with a positive attitude and ‘no job too small’ mindset

  • Very detail oriented and organized

  • Knowledge of portfolio and fixed income analytics

  • Advanced technological skills and experience with common industry applications (i.e, Power BI, Tableau, Aladdin and Bloomberg)

Preferred:

  • Solid understanding of GIPS® reporting principles

Compensation Range:

$104,350.00 - $155,350.00 Annual

Base pay varies depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience and market location.
