We manufacture and market prestressed concrete (PC) strand and welded wire reinforcement, including engineered structural mesh, concrete pipe reinforcement, and standard welded wire reinforcement for concrete reinforcement applications. The company operates eleven manufacturing facilities in nine states.

Position Snapshot
A Production Supervisor is commonly expected to direct and coordinate manufacturing operations of a single shift to meet company objectives and standards. This would include but not be limited to employee relations, safety, quality, efficiency, quantity, training, environmental compliance and to coach associates in continuous improvement always serving as a positive role model by setting a good example. Works daily to ensure assigned areas of responsibility are working with risk lowered to As Low As Reasonably Achievable (ALARA) specifically in an effort to achieve ZERO HARM so no injuries, illness or negative impact occurs to employees, property, the environment or the community. This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive. The employee may be required to perform other related duties assigned to meet the ongoing needs of the organization. Duties may be assigned by either their GM or Director of Manufacturing. The Production Supervisor must be willing to work flexible hours, including days, afternoons, nights, weekends, and overtime as needed to meet production demands of the company. To be successful in this role you will:
- Directly supervises work of assigned personnel on assigned shifts, coaches and supports all persons assigned to ensure personal growth to reach their maximum potential.
- Responsible for employee relations, housekeeping, safety, production problems, training, cost on individual shift. Leads by example.
- Prepares for shift by checking production conditions with previous shift's Production Team Leader, checking orders, and scheduling production on machines. Ensures all material supplies are adequate for shift operation.
- Conducts pre-shift meetings: Checks for absentees, makes necessary adjustments; distributes job assignments and informs employees of changes or events within the company. Communicates plant goals/concerns to associates.
- Prepares daily reports; production; employee reports regarding counseling, etc.; purchase requisitions; and work orders for maintenance.
- Supports and administer policies and promotes a positive environment.
- Comply with all requirements related to both the Oracle and Maximo systems.
- Lead the training and development of new team members to ensure successful integration and performance.
- Step in to perform operator duties when necessary to support production demands and staffing requirements.
- Maintain a strong presence on the shop floor (approximately 70% of the workday
) to support operators, address issues, and drive operational efficiency, while dedicating the remaining 30% to administrative responsibilities. - Act as a designated First Aid responder, providing assistance during workplace incidents and emergencies in accordance with company procedures.
Inventory
- Conducts cycle counts.
- Coordinates scrap and inventory related functions to maintain a correct inventory.
- Monitors materials used in production. Adjust entries in computer system as needed.
