<p>Main Purpose of the Role</p>
<p>The Strategic Development division of RWE Generation is responsible for delivering a suite of € billion sized projects to decarbonize and defossilize our power stations and we are looking for people to help us with this exciting and hugely important task.</p>
<p>The team is responsible in our core markets for the identification, origination and development of strategically important new bio energy with carbon capture, utilization and/or storage (BECCUS) projects for existing power plants. </p>

<p>We are seeking a Project Management Officer (PMO) to join colleagues in the team to support our decarbonisation projects mainly across the Netherlands and Germany. We are a new and growing team tasked with the delivery of major new power projects that are critical to RWE Generation’s decarbonisation pathway to achieving Net Zero. </p>

<p>The PMO will be deployed across the portfolio of projects and will provide a standard for all projects to adhere to. The role location is flexible with a mix of working from home, plus regular travel to RWE locations. Additional travel within and occasionally also outside of the role holder’s home country will be required.</p>

<p>You will play a key part in each project team and the successful candidate will manage the projects’ governance and procedural processes. The successful candidate will initially be involved in the development of project governance and control structures and will then implement and maintain their use. The role includes a wide range of responsibilities, some of which are:</p>

<p>Key Responsibilities</p>
<ul>
<li>Promote Health, Safety, Wellbeing & Environmental good practices.</li>
<li>In alignment with the RWE standard processes establish a controls framework to meet specific project requirements.</li>
<li>Support the development of project governance and establish the necessary project specific processes to accomplish these. The PMO will lead internal quality assurance, monitoring and audit of the governance processes and systems.</li>
<li>Roll out processes and systems to the wider team and ensure that adequate training and awareness sessions are provided.</li>
<li>Coordinate and manage the development of project delivery schedules, the reporting tools incl. project progress and project management interfaces, working with RWE Technology International</li>
<li>Develop a Document Control process to ensure that the document management needs of projects are satisfied.</li>
<li>Develop, manage, implement and maintain a change control process for the projects.</li>
<li>Assist in the preparation of reporting according to project needs.</li>
<li>Help with team and project organization, organize workshops and events according to project needs </li>
</ul>

<p>Knowledge & Skills</p>
<ul>
<li>Successful completion of a degree in engineering or similar</li>
<li>Previous experience being a PMO with knowledge of change control and information management processes</li>
<li>Experience in working in the energy industry or large construction projects is an advantage</li>
<li>Demonstrable stakeholder engagement and skills</li>
<li>Good IT skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office, like excel, word, powerpoint</li>
<li>Ability to manage time and workload effectively which includes planning, organising, and prioritising tasks</li>
<li>Ability to identify a problem or conflict, identify potential solutions and analyse the solutions leading to a recommendation for the optimum solution</li>
<li>Proactive and self-driven approach</li>
<li>Demonstrable competency in working within high performing, diverse, mixed discipline teams</li>
<li>Excellent communication skills both written and verbal (English and Dutch, German is an advantage)</li>
<li>Willingness to travel for specific tasks</li>
</ul>
