Position Overview

The Illinois Department of Corrections is looking for a candidate to serve as an Office Associate to work at Lawrence Correctional Center in the Health Care Unit.  The ideal candidate is self-motivated, task oriented, has excellent organizational skills and shows great attention to detail.  This position serves as secretary, provides clerical support and serves as receptionist to the Health Care unit Administrator.  We encourage all qualified applicants to apply.

Essential Functions

• Serves as a secretary, performing difficult and varied typing.
• Provides clerical support to supervisor and professional staff.
• Serves as receptionist to the Health Care Unit Administrator.
• Enters, updates, retrieves data on Offender 360 (O360).
• Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated above.

Minimum Qualifications

• Requires knowledge, skill and mental development equivalent to completion of high school and two (2) years of office experience.
• Requires ability to keyboard accurately at 45 words per minute.
