AT&T has an opening for Senior Gov Security to support our Federal Segment; Defense, DHS & Civilian Program Offices at our Chantilly, VA office.         

Job Duties/Responsibilities:

Responsible for processing and maintaining records of all cleared program personnel. Ensure the organizations compliance with applicable laws regulating government security. Maintain knowledge of regulations and stay abreast of all regulatory changes relevant to government customers. Provide technical support and guidance regarding government agency security programs that will enable the organization to pursue and perform work on sensitive government contracts.
 

Typical tasks may include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Act as professional government security support across a broad spectrum of security disciplines; personnel, physical, procedural, and classification management, to enable diverse program activities and personnel executing USG contracts.
  • Serve as the official program security officer for multiple USG programs performed at multiple AT&T and government customer locations.
  • Provide personnel security support (to include acquisition and maintenance of clearances at varying levels) to AT&T employees and subcontractors.
  • Counsel and advise personnel regarding situations and circumstances related to maintaining their clearance.
  • Partner with program management and government security colleagues to identify and resolve potential risks to sensitive program and customer operations, maintaining and expanding relationships with customer security authorities to facilitate security issues important to AT&T business.
  • Ensure compliance with government and company security regulations by overseeing security best practices, reviewing business procedures, and preparing for regular government security inspections. This includes managing classified information, accredited government classified systems, personal security clearances, and personnel vetting for those supporting government contracts,
  • Manage classified document control and access control systems to protect and maintain government classified and company proprietary materials.
    Security Policy Development and Implementation: Develop, implement, and update security policies for new programs, technologies, and facilities.
  • Conduct training sessions and awareness programs on security issues and develop comprehensive security training materials.
  • Investigate security infractions, recommend corrective actions, and manage incident response plans for security breaches. Interact with federal agencies, classified customers, and subcontractors regarding government security policies. 
  • Guides others, applying security principles and best practices.
  • Leads moderate sized projects (or parts of larger projects) with strategic value. Operates autonomously with frequent senior leadership interaction.

We seek a professional with interdisciplinary security knowledge, experience resolving challenging issues using broad professional security concepts.

Required Clearance:

Top Secret (#topsecret)

Required Qualifications:

Experience in the personnel security discipline, such as clearance processing and the use of a government system of records (e.g. DISS, etc.), interrelated with knowledge and experience with multiple USG agency industrial security policies, procedures, and processes. This position requires a minimum of 3 years' experience (5 years Preferred) in industrial security.

Experience with Public Trust Suitability processing
