Job Description

AECOM is actively seeking a Senior Project Manager/Operations Team Lead specializing in the assessment and permitting of energy facilities, with a focus on renewable energy, electric transmission, and other energy facilities and lead growth for our business in Texas for immediate employment within Texas.  The primary work location is Houston, TX but with AECOM offices throughout Texas, we will consider excellent candidates interested in our other office locations in Dallas, Austin, and San Antonio. The successful applicant will join a network of existing AECOM specialists across the US and will have the staff resources from across the western US extending from the Gulf of Mexico to Canada available to assist in project delivery and business development.
 
The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Manages portfolio of clients with multiple projects.
  • Responsible for delivering revenues assigned from specific clients as a result of repeat business caused by flawless execution of projects.
  • Consistently delivers profit margins planned.
  • Consistently completes project without write-downs or multiplier erosion.
  • Typically manages projects involving RTF (Risk Triggering Factors).
  • Manages more complex clients and projects.
  • Has decision-making authority and directs other Project Managers in recognizing risk and uncertainty with plans to mitigate and eliminate such.
  • Directs staff to operate and minimize exposure to claims.
  • Supervises and mentors team members with multiple projects or programs assignments.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in environmental science, Biology, Environmental Planning, Natural/Biological Resource Management or other related field experience.
  • 8 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education in successfully supporting permitting and environmental impact analysis documents and associated technical studies and oversight on Endangered Species Act (ESA) compliance, Clean Water Act (CWA) permitting.
  • Position requires that the candidate must be able to travel for agency/client meetings as well as field work kick-off and auditing as required.
  • Valid U.S Driver's license is required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in relevant field
  • 10+ years full time work experience in related field, environmental permitting, NEPA compliance, natural resources management,
