About You
As the Manager, Accounts Receivable & Revenue, you will bring an advanced knowledge of core accounts receivable and revenue recognition processes in accordance with GAAP, including handling of deferred revenue for memberships, subscriptions, and events. The ideal candidate will be valued for possessing a high level of accuracy and attention to detail in everything they do, as well as strong interpersonal communication skills with both customers and all levels of TASB staff. We are seeking a personable and talented self-starter, a true go-getter, who possesses a strong desire to help overhaul key AR processes and contribute to meaningful and lasting process improvements. This is an Austin-based remote position.
A Typical Day
- Responsible for all aspects of deferred revenue accounting, reconciliations, and reporting.
- Facilitate annual membership and subscription service billings, including integrations with other software systems, and coordination with program area staff.
- Maintain the complete order-to-cash processes in the ERP system ensuring process effectiveness and efficiency while striving for process consistency.
- Maintain customer billing tables, item codes, and released products and work closely with service areas as updates are needed.
- Review, approve, and prepare journal entries and complex account reconciliations independently with minimal assistance.
- Review monthly financial statements and reports ensuring completeness and accuracy, and proactively resolving related outstanding issues.
- Responsible for monthly sales tax reporting.
- Prioritize and delegate inbound customer service inquiries and provide general support to TASB’s program areas.
- Support the wider AR team with cash receipt and refund processing, monthly reconciliations, journal entries and other team needs.
- Facilitate training and development of the accounts receivable team.
- Periodically develop and conduct training geared toward program area sales order users.
- Effectively maintain current process documentation for all key AR functions.
- Supervise two AR Accounting Specialists Sr. team members.

Skills for Success
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field preferred.
- 5-7 years direct work experience.
- Must have supervisory experience.
